local community
We value links with the community and are constantly looking for new ways to develop these. Members of the community with specialised skills or experience are encouraged to come into School and share their knowledge with the children. We particulary enjoy hearing stories from people who were former pupils at the School and whose families have lived in the town for generations. Each week a local group called 'Full Circle' visit our school to work with children on creative activities.
Some of our children's work is displayed annually in the local art exhibition and the School is represented at the annual town Carol Service held in All Saints Church for the NSPCC. We advertise and promote School events in the local press and have regular contact and visits from members of all the local churches, the School nurse and the community police officers.
