transfer to Faringdon Junior School
At the end of year 2 children normally transfer to Faringdon Junior School on the opposite side of Lechlade Road. Good links exists between our Schools and there is a full induction programme.
Children in Year 2 have opportunities to visit the Junior School to watch performances, participate in 'buddy afternoons' (where children from the Junior School show them around the School) and to attend after-school clubs. The Head teacher from the Junior School visits our school to meet with the Year 2 children during an assembly and parents are invited to attend a meeting at the Junior School to discuss the transition arrangements.
At the end of the summer term all Year 2 children visit the Junior School for a morning in their new classes.
