Who are the school councillors?

There are nine school councillors. We are selected from the year 2 classes – 3 from each class.
Come and see who the councillors are for this term on the notice board outside Mrs Hambidge’s office.

When do we meet?

The school council usually meet every two weeks on a lunch time.

Where do we meet?

We meet in Apple class.

What are our roles?

At lunch time we open the shed where all the equipment is stored. We get out the toys on both playgrounds.
After playtime we empty the compost buckets into the compost bin.
We find out what the children would like to change in school.

This term one of our jobs has been to find out how the children in school would like the library to be changed. We talked to classes to find out how we could improve our library. When the school council met the next time we talked about our ideas. Miss Marshall and some of the parents are going to use our information to change the school library.
